 Charles Ponzi, 1920, Boston

A Ponzi scheme. Everyone has heard the term splashed over the news thanks to Bernie Madoff and other fraudsters. But do you really know what it means? Where the idea came from? How did it operate? Who was the man whose name lives in infamy?

Local author, Bob Ainsworth, is back to talk about Charles Ponzi and his "Ponzi scheme" that he used in 1920s Boston. He also covers other scams, including Bernie Madoff, cryptocurrency, and will review what to look for so you don’t become a victim.
